  Comment: According to Mayfly Central (2009), Lachlania dencyannae McCafferty, Lugo-Ortiz and Jacobi, 1997 is an unjustified emendation of L. dencyanna Koss in Koss and Edmunds, 1970. If that emendation were considered justified then Lachlania dencyannae Koss, 1970 would be the valid name, however, since an unjustified emendation takes authorship from the emender, while a justified emendation does not
