  Comment: Hay (1906) notes that "In 1951 Dujardin employed the name Lydella [...]. A specific name was not supplied until 1888, when Plate called it Lydella dujardini in honor of its discoverer. Unfortunately, Lydella is preoccupied [...]. In its place I propose Microlyda." The current status of these nominal taxa apparently remains unclear, though Marcus (1936) mentions the generic names in the synonymy of Halechiniscus Richters 1908, and the species combinations in the synonymy of Halechiniscus guiteli Richters 1888. More research would be needed to clarify the status of these various names
