 Comments

Comment: Mulsant (1850) used Elgeis in two different ways, making them homonyms. The first (from p.151) was clearly a full genus, and has been in use (either as a full genus or a subgenus) since then. The second (p.167) has been interpreted as a subgenus (e.g., Slipinski 2007) or a full genus (Kitano 2014), but was treated as the junior homonym by a First Reviser, and that is the one replaced with Kiiro Kitano 2014
