 Comments

Comment: Although unable to view the 1948 & 1949 publications, it appears that Kirschenblat published the new name Coenurus endothoracicus in 1948, with an adjectival epithet. The subsequent year, Kirschenblat made a generic transfer to the feminine genus Taenia, giving it as Taenia endothoracica, which would be the correct formulation in that feminine genus. The name should not be given with the original masculine ending in this genus (many subsequent authors erroneously list it as T. endothoracicus)
