  Comment: Strand (1913) originally published Anthophora insignata with the specific epithet having a hyphenated falsum symbol (an inverted 'T') prefix - possibly referring to the (English translation) "basal limb of the antennae has a light longitudinal band at the bottom" or that the species has a "falsum-shaped clypeus" (where the falsum symbol is used here in the original text, as a hyphenated prefix on the word förmige - 'falsum shaped')
