Podalirius senilis (Walker, 1871) is a subsequent combination of Anthophora senilis Walker, 1871 (now as Anthophora aegyptiaca (Dalla Torre and Friese, 1895) (TSN 762803)), a senior primary homonym of Bombus senilis Smith, 1879 (now as Bombus deuteronymus Schulz, 1906) (TSN 714895)); and a junior primary homonym of Anthophora senilis Eversmann, 1846 (TSN 763086). Megilla aegyptiaca (Dalla Torre and Friese, 1895) was the replacement name
