  Comment: See Coan et al. (2000). Recent specimens previously identified as Tresus "pajaroana (Conrad, 1857)" were found to be a distinct species, which was there described and named T. allomyax Coan and Valentich Scott. T. pajaroana remains a valid fossil taxon
