  Comment: From Eschmeyer's Catalog of Fishes, 2021: Günther recorded the locality as Lake Hakou, used the name hakuensis both in 1877 and 1880, this was corrected to hakonensis by Ishikawa's 1895:129 and confirmed in Opinion 63
