  Comment: LaVal (1973:22-25) repeatedly spells the epithet as pilosatibialis. Gardner (2008:474) uses the original spelling without comment. Simmons (2005:509) spells it as 'pilosotibialis' without comment. Unless the spelling discrepancy is resolved with a justified emendation that changes the spelling, ITIS will continue to use the original spelling
