  Comment: Comments: Revised by Hill (1963b). The genus is apparently paraphyletic, but alternative phylogenies (e.g., those of Bogdanowicz and Owen [1998] and Hand and Kirsch [1998]) disagree about genus and species relationships. Accordingly, I have retained the traditional contents of Hipposideros pending a thorough revision. Species groups follow Koopman (1994) with some modifications
