  Comment: No literature source could be found indicating the type genus of Platyctenidae, or the currently valid name for Platyctenidae. Coles et al. (2002) list Coeloplana and Vallicula in Platyctenidae, these genera are now considered to be in Coeloplanidae, TSN 659774. Platyctenidae is thus tentatively considered to be a synonym of Coeloplanidae
