  Comment: See comment regarding authorship under Xenopeltis unicolor 'Reinwardt, 1827', which also applies to the genus name's authorship. Wallach et al. (2014:787) give authorship for both as Boie, 1827, and Pauwels et al. (2003:30) also does so for the species. Since Boie's (1827:564) citation of Reinwardt is insufficient to count under ICZN Art. 50.1. Authorship for both these names must be attributed to Boie, and not to Reinwardt, or to Reinwardt in Boie
