  Comment: While some recent works (e.g., Opler and Warren 2005) retain the specific name vaualbum, Pelham (2008:346) cites works establishing that it is a nomen nudum. Subsequently (December 2008), the ICZN (Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 65(4):329) closed the Case referenced by Pelham (Case 3241), noting only that "acknowledgement of receipt [was] published in BZN 59: 70." In the absence of an active Case or a Ruling from the Commission that overturns some aspect of the Code for this name, it must be treated as a nomen nudum
