  Comment: Authors (such as Fisher 1907:645 and Clark 1920:151) have used the name Actinopyga parvula (Selenka, 1867), based on Muelleria parvula Selenka, 1867, for species found in the Pacific. But Selenka's species (now Holothuria parvula (Selenka, 1867) is restricted to the West Indies (per Rowe 1969:145), and the Pacific species is instead Holothuria difficilis Semper, 1868. Nevertheless, Actinopyga parvula is a subsequent combination of Muelleria parvula, not a separate nominal taxon synonymized with Holothuria difficilis Semper 1868
