 Comments

Comment: Emig (Phoronida website, 2008-2024) and Russel Zimmer (email, Apr. 2004) indicate that there are no available names, under the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, between the ranks of genus and phylum within the Phoronida. But it turns out that Hatschek (1880:72) did make the name available (by 'indication' under Art. 12.2.4, based on the available generic name Phoronis). No diagnosis was provided, but subsequent authors can provide one or otherwise redescribe it. In any case, it is an available name that can be applied within the Phoronida
