  Comment: The genus Thrincostoma appears as a literature misspelling in the index on page 641 of Dalla Torre (1896) who emended Thrinchostoma to Trichostoma on page 381. The misspelling of the generic name was subsequently used by Blüthgen in 1930 and 1933; but the emendation was described in Michener (1978) as an "unnecessary emendation of Thrinchostoma"
