  Comment: Williams (2020) states: "The name malaisei (Skorikov, 1937) is a secondary junior homonym in the genus Bombus of the name malaisei Bischoff, 1930. The name burmensis nom. nov. is proposed as a replacement name for malaisei (Skorikov, 1937), of which it is an objective junior synonym, to avoid confusion of these taxa."  
    Bombus burmensis Williams, 2020 (now as Bombus montivagus Smith, 1878) was published as an unnecessary replacement name for Bombus malaisei Skorikov, 1938 (now as Bombus montivagus Smith, 1878), a junior primary homonym of Bombus terrestris malaisei Bischoff, 1930 (now as Bombus czerskianus Vogt, 1911)
