  Comment: Rightmyer and Engel (page 6, 2003) synonymized Crocisa valida Morawitz, 1895 with Crocisa bidentata W. F. Kirby, 1899 (both now as new combination Thyreomelecta bidentata (W. F. Kirby, 1899) (TSN 767084). However Madl (page 346, 2020) states (apparently regarding Crocisa valida): "The record from Eritrea is not mentioned in Friese (1909b, 1915), Meyer (1921: 79), Lieftinck (1968: 42), Rightmyer and Engel (2003: 6) and Eardley and Urban (2010). The identification should be checked."
