The placement of Liophis leucogaster Jan, 1863 is uncertain: Reptile Database (2017) treats it as a tentative synonym of Erythrolamprus pygmaeus (Cope, 1868) while Wallach et al. (2014) treats it as a tentative synonym of Umbrivaga pyburni Markezich & Dixon, 1979
