  Comment: Savage (2015:664) notes that the family-group name was initially published as Calamarina by Bonaparte 1838, but the proper spelling would have been Calamariina. Thus the correct name at family rank would be Calamariidae Bonaparte 1838, and at subfamily rank, Calamariinae Bonaparte 1838
