  Comment: Pentanychidae Briggs 1971 was based on Pentanychus Briggs 1971, but the latter is a junior homonym of the acariform genus Pentanuchus Wainstein 1960. With the genus replaced by Briggsus Özdikmen & Demir 2008, the family Briggsidae Özdikmen & Demir 2008 was proposed to replace Pentanychidae, but this is now treated as a subfamily of Travuniidae
