  Comment: The first letter of the specific epithet was originally capitalized Emiliae  
    Bombus emiliae Dalla Torre, 1890 (now as Bombus bellicosus Smith, 1879 (TSN 714872)) was apparently published as a replacement name for Bombus thoracicus Radoszkowski, 1884 (not Sichel, 1862). See page 79 in Radoszkowski, 1884 "Révision des Armures Copulatrices des Males due Genre Bombus" where the name is not clearly indicated as a 'n. sp.' description (compare with B.
