  Comment: Cockerell 1911 stated: "The male of Proanthidium soliferum nearly agrees with the description of female Anthidium flavomaculatum, Cam., from Poona, but it is larger, with darker wings, and must, I think, be different, even if the supposed female flavomaculatum should prove to be really male."
