  Comment: Two main crosses between Morone americana x M. saxatilis: Virginia Bass (male M. americana x female M. saxatilis), Maryland Bass (female M. americana x male M saxatilis). Todd (1986) reported M. americana x M. chrysops in Lake Erie. Hybrids of M. americana x M. mississippiensis in Illinois River by 2000 (Irons et al. 2002)
