  Comment: Amyot and Serville (1843:375) created the combinatio Sinea multispinosa based on the original combination Cimex multispinosus De Geer. Despite the fact that their use of the name now corresponds to a completely different species, De Geer's name is now recognized as Acholla multispinosa (De Geer, 1773)
