  Comment: species inquirenda; Haplotaxis forbesi is considered a possible synonym of H. gordioides; description was based on immature material only; Kathman and Brinkhurst (1998) recommended that this taxon be referred to as Haplotaxis cf. gordioides until additional, mature specimens have been obtained and studied to determine either its validity as a separate taxon, or its synonymy
