  Comment: The publication date of Leucosarcia melanoleuca is cited as (Latham, 1801) by IOC (2020) but as 1802 by Zoonomen (Peterson, 2020); the case is 'confusing and contentious' and described in detail by Peterson on the Zoonomen website  
    Columba picata and Columba melanoleuca were simultaneously published by Latham (1801). Epithet picata has page precedence; however, melanoleuca is in prevailing use and so is retained to preserve stability. See Schodde, Bock, and Steinheimer (2007)
