  Comment: Volume 8 of Shaw's General Zoology has an engraved title page dated 1812 and a simple printed title page behind that dated 1811. Per Dickinson et al. (2011) ITIS uses 1812 for all of Volume 8. Therefore the first part of Bechstein's Kurze Uebersicht (1811) has precedence. See Dickinson et al.
