  Comment: Originally published as Andrena g. maculati and Robertson states 'The species is named above because it seems to depend for pollen upon flowers of Geranium maculatum' (see http://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/5792233). The epithet could be treated under ICZN Article 11.9.5 and be corrected to geraniummaculati if g. is interpreted as being a separate word. Because the abbreviation isn't a word, the epithet is interpreted as a compound species-group name and the components united under ICZN Article 32.5.2.4.4 to become gmaculati
