  Comment: Saxicola familiaris Stephens, 1826 was long held to be the original combination (Check-list of Birds of the World, 1964, vol. 10, p. 98) until an overlooked senior synonym published by Wilkes in 1817 was discovered - Motacilla familiaris Wilkes, 1817.
