  Comment: There are dual original spellings in Temminck 1809: maugeus in the text (p. 115) and maugens in Plate 52. Under ICZN Article 24.2.4 of the Code Temminck resolved the issue by acting as First Reviser when the table of contents for Les Pigeons, published in 1811, used maugeus (p. ii)
