  Comment: Perca marina has been widely used in the combination Sebastes marinus (Linnaeus, 1758) in the family Scorpaenidae but the sources for the species description were referable to Serranus scriba (Linnaeus, 1758). Use of Sebastes marinus for the scorpaenid fish is a misapplication of the name, and Sebastes norvegicus (TSN 166781) should be used
