  Comment: Apis aterrima Christ, 1791 (now as Stelis phaeoptera (Kirby, 1802) (TSN 756151)) is a senior primary homonym of Apis aterrima Panzer, 1798 (now as Stelis punctulatissima (Kirby, 1802) (TSN 756152))  
    Apis aterrima Panzer, 1798 (not Christ, 1791) is the type species of Stelis Panzer, 1806 (TSN 154373) by designation of Morice and Durrant, 1914: 246. Suppressed by Commission Opinion 135 (Direction 4). Both Ornosa et al (2008) and Aguib et al (2014) list Apis aterrima Christ, 1791 and A. stigma Christ, 1791 as nomen dubium synonyms of Stelis phaeoptera (Kirby, 1802) (TSN 756151)
