 Comments

Comment: Status: IUCN 2003 and IUCN/SSC Action Plan (2001) - Lower Risk (nt)
Comments: Reviewed by Juste and Ibañez (1992), who designated a neotype for newtoni. Does not include manavi or griveaudi see Peterson et al. (1995)
The combination Miniopterus minor was originally published by Peters, MB. Akad. Berl., p. 855. Dobson (1878) cites the date of publication as 1866, but as pages 1-656 of this volume were published in 1866 and pages 657-end published in 1867, 1867 is the correct date
