  Comment: The specific epithet was originally published as albo punctulata, but included here as nigroviridis per ICZN Article 32.5.2.2  
    A possible nomen oblitum. Friese in his 1895 'Die Bienen Europa's (Apidae europaeae) nach ihren Gattungen, Arten und Varietäten auf vergleichend morphologische-biologischer Grundlage, Theil I. Schmarotzebienen' synoymized Eucera albopunctulata Dours, 1873 under Eucera caspica Morawitz, 1874, giving priority to caspica which he dated, apparently erroneously, to 1873, stating '...und auch die Eucera albopunctulata wie pedata Dours möchte ich hierherziehen (vergl. No. 74 u. 75)'. If it can been shown that albopunctulata Dours, 1873 has not been used as a valid name within the scientific community since 1899, then Eucera albopunctulata Dours, 1873 should be nomen oblitum and Eucera caspica Morawitz, 1874 nomen protectum.
