    Kerzhner (1992:53) notes that Maldonado (1990: 364, 371) missed Walker's replacement names for two homonymous uses of the name Pirates (sic) dimideatus (Walker 1873: 102, 111; errata p. 205), which were both junior secondary homonyms of 'Aphleps dimidiata Fieber (now in Pasira) placed by Walker (1873a: 96) in Pirates.' Other workers seem to also have missed these. The errata are here: https://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/50803563 - Coscarón (1997:51) mistakenly includes the p.96 use (which should have been listed as Fieber's name) in the 'Afrotropical' P. dimidiatus, which should be considered to only include Walker's use on p.111; p.102 was replaced by Pirates (sic) digramma Walker 1873; p.111 was replaced by Pirates (sic) tripars Walker 1873 but see above. It is not clear what the current status of the names remaining in Peirates should be (see ICZN Arts. 57.2 & 23.9.5). Until this becomes clear, ITIS will follow Coscarón's 1997 revision of Peirates for the names remaining in that genus, but include the replacement name in synonymy
