  Comment: Chandler (1999) determined that the publicacion date of LaFerté's Monographie des Anthicus is probably May, 1849  
    Originally published as "Anthelephilus imperator," where the generic name is considered to be an unjustified emendation by LaFerté-Sénectère of Anthelephila Hope 1833 (see Kejval, 2003, although Kejval incorrectly then labels it as a "junior synonym of Anthelephila").
