    Bombus mendax Morawitz, 1881 (now as Bombus handlirshcianus Vogt, 1909 (TSN 714919)) is a junior primary homonym of Bombus mendax Gerstäcker, 1869 (TSN 714953). The replacement name was Bombus mendax handlirschianus Vogt, 1909
