 Comments

Comment: Typhlina Wagler, 1830 was suppressed by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature for the purpose of the Priority. See ICZN, 1982, Official List of Generic Names in Zoology, p. 106. According to McDiarmid et al. (1999), 'Underwood (1977) pointed out that Typhlina Wagler, 1830 was based on Acontias lineatus Reinwardt, 1830, a nomen nudum, and 'Typhlops' [Anguis] septemstriatus Schneider, 1801'. In 2019 those correspond to Ramphotyphlops lineatus (Schlegel 1939) and Siagonodon septemstriatus (Schneider, 1801), respectively. Therefore, ITIS leaves Typhlina Wagler, 1830 in synonymy under both Ramphotyphlops and Siagonodon
