  Comment: Mandatory correction for gender concordance; originally described as Lithacrosiphon maldivense, but the genus name is masculine, so the epithet should be maldivensis (Cutler 1994:9 & 230). Note that Cutler (1994:230) was in error in giving the original combination as "Aspidosiphon maldivensis," as the original genus was Lithacrosiphon Shipley, 1902
